2019 is the year that keeps giving for DBL Logistics. Following the huge news of our switch to the Pall-Ex network and later, the news that the network was to be sold to its member depots – making us part owner of the pan-European network.
Following the purchase of the Scania G450 (below), we have made another significant investment in our fleet, headed by Operations Director, Adam Boyd (TechIOSH).

Mercedes Actros 5 – Setting a new standard in safe transport
The investment sees DBL Logistics add three brand new trucks to their fleet – the state of the art Mercedes Actros 5.

Our custom livery introduces our new logo design, matching the colours of our partners in the Pall-Ex network – it is also sure to catch the eyes of many delivery points.
The new trucks are more than just a pretty face, there are a number of innovative features that set the Actros 5 apart from their competition, and make them the industry leader in fuel consumption and introduces the highest level of autonomous driving truck on the UK roads.
After meeting with Vicki Light of Northside Truck & Van to view the trucks and test out the features, we were impressed immediately with the safety features.
As a business, this gives us peace of mind that our drivers, customer's goods, and fleet is being moved in the safest and most economical way possible.
Over the coming weeks we will also introduce our latest trailer acquisitions boasting our rebrand and introducing our latest co-branded trailers. Watch this space..."

In place of the conventional rear-view mirrors, there are cameras that sit just above the doors, with monitors in the driver’s cab offering full visibility during manoeuvres as the cameras follow the trailer around corners minimising blind spots.
Active Driver Assist helps the driver during long, monotonous drives. Offering cruise control in conjunction with enhanced braking and Lane Assist systems. All with the aim of building towards fully autonomous driving.
Traffic Sign Assist recognises certain traffic signs in real time, displaying the two most important signs on the drivers dashboard for enhanced safety at all times.
Awarded the 2020 International Truck of the Year at the Motor Transport Awards, DBL Logistics are now leaving 2019 as a member and part owner of one of the largest networks in the UK, with an award winning customer portal system (LINK), and 3 new state of the art trucks.
