DBL Logistics joins one of the biggest pallet networks in the UK

We are proud to announce that we have enhanced our partnership with the Pall-Ex network. Our move to Pall-Ex is a decision that has been made for our customers, because we know this will be a huge benefit to our services.

Current customers will feel no handing over period or dip in service as we transfer to the new network.

DBL Logistics’ tried and tested procedures won’t change, the service level you expect in terms of collection times and accurate dispatch will be as good as ever. However, you now have access to a state-of-the-art booking system and customer portal, new services (Explained in further detail below), and a network of depots across the nation and Europe in one of the largest pallet networks in the UK.

Current customers will be aware that we have been working with Pall-Ex previously. It’s during this time that we have noticed their ambition and commitment to providing the very best service possible, aligning with our own values and ambitions. Resulting in our decision to enhance our partnership.

The move for new customers will mean that they will be jumping on board with us as we move into an exciting period in the company’s history. DBL Logistics now have more strings to our service bow and new customers will have instant access to all of this.

DBL Logistics offer greater value to customers through updated pallet dimensions. Our pallet dimesions are;

  • Full – width 1.2m x length 1.0m x height 2.2m – 1200 KG
  • Half – width 1.2m x length 1.0m x height 1.2m – 600 KG
  • Quarter – width 1.2m x length 1.0m x height 0.8m – 300 KG
  • Micro/Euro – width 1.2m x length 0.8m x height 0.8m – 150 KG
    (Dimensions and weights are maximums)

The 0.8m max height for micro/euro and quarter pallets would be considered a half pallet through other hauliers, giving our customers huge potential savings.

DBL Logistics offer more than just the standard curb-side palletised delivery service. With Retail Plus, we can provide an enhanced delivery service that includes taking the goods inside, stripping the pallet, and taking away the rubbish.

There are two variants to the Retail Plus service; ground-level, and basement. Both variants include all of the above, but basement level also includes taking the goods up/down stairs.

With depots all across Europe, DBL Logistics can offer an affordable and reliable international delivery service. Consignments can be tracked throughout their journey and POD’s retrieved as standard and sent over to you within 24hrs.

You send us the information and we do the rest. We will send you a quote, and then get it all arranged for you.

Deliveries outside of Europe will require more documentation from you to help with customs and excise. However, again we deal with all the booking processes on your behalf – taking all the stress away from you.

Deliveries into Amazon RDC’s are made simple with DBL Logistics. The nature of these sites means you could face fines, re-delivery costs, and long waits if you make any mistakes or provide the wrong info during the booking process.

To solve this, we have taken the stress out of dealing with Amazon. Now, when you have a delivery to arrange with Amazon, send us the details. Afterwards, we will do the rest ourselves.

We book-in the delivery according to the window you have been provided with by Amazon, and it is delivered like any other job you send with us, you can view its progress and will receive a POD once delivered.

Make Amazon Easy

If the worst should happen, we offer greater peace of mind for our customers with an efficient insurance process and enhanced liability of £5000 per tonne (3 times greater than the industry standard). We request the documents we need from you and once we have them, a settlement will be reached within 28 days.

We also have the ability to provide additional insurance, all through a simple email request.

A Partnership Made Stronger

The news that the Pall-Ex Group has been sold to its member depots has spread far and wide throughout the industry.

In a deal considered the first of its kind, Hillary Devey, the owner, founder, chairwoman, and Dragon’s Den star has agreed to sell the pan-European logistics brand to the member depots that are responsible for the service levels provided.

This news in the wake of our big move, adds even more benefits to our customers as we, along with others in the group of member depots who have taken over ownership of Pall-Ex, are now key decision makers in the network.
