The restructuring of our team has continued, with the progression of a key member of our senior management team.
Adam Boyd, 27, has marked just over a year at DBL Logistics with progression from operations, transport and health & safety manager to become our dedicated operations director.
The change in role will see Adam continue to develop the operations side of the business and work on some exciting new projects, including the imminent arrival of the last of eight new Scania trucks as we continue to refresh our fleet of vehicles.
Adam, who before joining DBL, served for six years in the Army’s Royal Logistics Corps, said: “Naturally I’m delighted at the change in role, DBL has been a fantastic business to become part of and I’m chuffed to have progressed in my relatively short time here.
“It also serves to demonstrate that there is room for progression here at DBL Logistics, which no doubt also makes a really positive impression on the rest of the team and an extra incentive for each individual to continue to perform to the best of their ability.
“I’m really looking forward to the coming weeks and months – it’s an exciting time to be part of DBL Logistics and I can’t wait for both myself and the business to kick on.”
Dave Clarkson, our managing director, said: “To say we’ve been impressed with Adam since he joined is a huge understatement.
“For someone so young, he’s demonstrated an extremely wise head and an ability to take responsibility. This progression isn’t before time, with DBL as a business going through an exciting period in its history.
“We’ve had some tremendous success recently and Adam has played a significant part in that. And with Adam’s increasingly influential role within DBL, we’re looking forward to what may be next in store as we continue to grow as a business.”
