Important health & safety accreditation for leading Sheffield logistics firm

One of our senior managers has been awarded a top-level health and safety qualification.
Adam Boyd (AIOSH), who is Operations, Transport and Health & Safety Manager at our leading Tinsley Park Road-based firm, has been named an Associate Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health following an extensive training course.
The new accreditation means that through Adam, DBL Logistics can now provide an in-house health and safety consultancy service, which was previously out-sourced.
Adam, who underwent a rigorous two-and-a-half-week training course to gain the qualification, said: “This is a crucial step for our business and something we’ve been looking at for a while.
“The course I underwent was extensive and involved both classroom-based and practical activities, so it’s great to have come out with a vital qualification.
“This certificate is important for a wide range of professions, none more so than in the logistics industry. This will take us forward as a business and put us firmly on the health and safety map.
“On a personal note it’s brilliant for me, too. It means that I am fully recognised as an Associate Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health and adds another string to my bow when it comes to my career in the logistics industry.”
David Clarkson, managing director of DBL Logistics, said: “We’d like to congratulate Adam on this brilliant news, both for himself and our business.
“We’re delighted that Adam has stepped up his accreditation with the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health as it’s a fantastic achievement for our business.
“This qualification opens a lot of doors to us as a firm and we’re looking forward to seeing what the future holds now that Adam has been successful in his application.”
